Pulmonologists of Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 16 of Kazan warn: the risk group for the development of pneumonia is young children, pensioners, people with chronic diseases of the lower respiratory tract, cardiovascular system, patients with diabetes, and persons with various immunodeficiency.

Pneumonia is a serious disease, often of an infectious nature, fraught with many complications. It is a form of acute respiratory infection affecting the lungs. The lungs are made up of small sacs called alveoli, which are filled with air when breathing in a healthy person.
