Briefing about the most common causes of domestic poisoning among Tatarstan residents in TR Health Ministry

Round table meeting for journalists dedicated to the prevention of domestic poisoning among Tatarstan citizens was held at TR Health Ministry. The experts were the chief freelance toxicologist of TR HM Aliya Nasibullina and the chief freelance therapist of TR HM Diana Abdulganieva. They said that during the period of growth of acute respiratory diseases, the number of patients admitted to hospitals with an overdose of medicines with a high content of paracetamol increases.

Besides, patients often turn to doctors after consuming acetic acid and liquids to wash the car’s windshields, which contain methanol. 19 people were poisoned with acetic acid, 2 of them died in Kazan in 2019. There were 12 cases of methanol poisoning, 6 of them were fatal.
