Surgeons of the Republican Clinical Hospital of Tatarstan was performed a complex operation for an old man suffering from porta hepatis cancer. At first, a 78-year-old resident of Russian Makulovo Village in Verkhneuslonsky district of the RT turned sharply yellow, then felt quite ill, and he was taken to the RCH in an ambulance.
During the examination, the doctors found that the tumor had grown into the bile ducts and blood vessels, and bilirubin was 240.
Usually, bile diverted out to patients. Due to age of the patient, doctors note, the removal of bile is almost the final treatment option. But it was impossible to get the bile out cause of anatomical features.
Then the RCH surgeons decided to remove part of the liver, bile ducts and blood vessels, and then with the reconstruction of the hepatic artery and portal vein.
The operation lasted 4 hours. Everything went well and on the 14th day thisold man was discharged home.
