8 July 2020, Wednesday

The introduction of a rehabilitation course for patients who have had a new coronavirus infection has started in Tatarstan. Two medical facilities in Kazan became the pilot sites for rehabilitation therapy: Municipal Polyclinic No. 7 and Hospital for War Veterans. Rehabilitation takes place under the supervision of a local general practitioner with follow-up tests and an ECG.

Physical therapy exercises are held three times a week. No more than five people are in each group of rehabilitation participants. The recovery course includes group breathing exercises, chest massage, dry carbon dioxide baths and physiotherapy.
