Nurse from Nizhnekamsk Alevtina Chuchnina: "There was no fear of infection"

28 July 2020, Tuesday

Alevtina Chukhnina, a nurse - anesthetist of Nizhnekamsk CCH with the PC, worked for two weeks in an infectious diseases hospital. And although she has more than 30 years of work in intensive care, much has been done again, she says.

"There was no fear of infection. After all, we worked in protective suits, double gloves, masks, respirators, constantly processed and changed everything. There just wasn't time to think about it. There was a lot of work to do.

We supported the patients as we could. I remember a mother who came to us in a hard condition. She couldn't even speak when she felt better and asked for a piece of paper with a pen. She wrote that she has 4 children. We told her that she had no options – only to get well and leave the hospital on her own feet, for the sake of the children."

On August 15, Alevtina Chukhnina will go back to work in the hospital.
