RCH doctors urgently performed a rare operation on the trachea of a dying patient
A 30-year-old resident of the Sarmanovsky district of Tatarstan has been lying in a regional hospital on artificial ventilation. Doctors treated the young man and discharged him home.
After a long stay on a ventilator, the man developed cicatricial tissue on the trachea. The man started having trouble breathing.
The man managed to call an ambulance. The ambulance brought the man to the Central Municipal Hospital of Sarmanovsky district of Tatarstan. The guy was dying, and the doctors used the video to contact their colleagues from the Republican clinical hospital.
At 7.30, the RCH received a call, and at 8.15 the doctor took a helicopter from Kazan to the district. The head of the thoracic Department No. 2 of the Republic Clinic Hospital, Yevgeny Trishin, performed endoscopic tracheal bougienage, which is performed for its stenosis. The patient's life is saved.
