Resident of Kazan who almost died from the effects of Covid-19 was rescued in the Republican Clinical Hospital
Specialists of the Republican Clinical Hospital of Tatarstan rescued a man who suddenly started to bleed after survived a coronavirus infection.
The doctors explained that the cells in the body ceased to function properly after the Covid-19 infection. The patient got stomach ulcers.
The man was transferred in critical condition to the surgical department No. 1 of the Republican Clinical Hospital. He was on the operating table for two hours. Then he was transferred to the resuscitation department.
According to the doctors, patients survive in ten percent of cases with such severe complications.
So finally, the man was rescued and discharged home this week.
During three months of fighting for his health, the man lost 15 kilograms of weight, and received about 20 liters of donated blood.
