A veteran of the Great Patriotic War, health care veteran Sultania Bagautdinova Zamaletdinova celebrated one hundredth birthday. Deputy Minister of Health Care of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Fatikhov congratulated the birthday celebrant.
Sultania Bagautdinova was born on October 4, 1920 in the Bolshoy Kuyuk village in the Vysokogorsky district of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
In September 1937, she enrolled at the Kazan Medical Midwife School on a speciality "medical assistant", from which she graduated in 1940. She was assigned to the Aznakaevsk district of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Repepublic to work as a medical assistant, but soon the war began. In June 1941, Zamaletdinova was called to serve in the Red Army as a surgical nurse in the hospital of Gomel, Belarusian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Repepublic. Her service continued in the Ukrainian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and the Kursk Bulge until the end of the war.
