Playing with beloved pet ended with a terrible eye injury. Parents should be vigilant when their child is playing with a pet.

A 6-year-old child with a lower eyelid laceration and an avulsion of the lower lacrimal canal was admitted to the emergency Department of the Children’s Republican Clinical Hospital. A rupture of the posterior fornix of conjunctiva of the eyeball was also found.

The child was discharged home with an improvement in his health status. Lacrimation has decreased, which tells us that the lacrimal canal has already begun to form and the child's eye will soon recover.
