The incident occurred in Kazan. The woman returned from work late in the evening on August 20, crossed the road on a pedestrian crossing on the green lights at the moment when there was an accident.
An ambulance took the woman in a serious condition, unconscious, to the emergency room of the Republican Clinical Hospital. She managed to tell her daughter about the incident by phone. The patient's skull was crushed and her face was injured. The body was injured less — bruises and abrasions.
It was impossible to operate immediately; the woman could die right on the operating table due to severe injuries. At the same time, physicians could not allow the development of complications, such as meningoencephalitis. The patient was nursed by physicians of the Department of Neurosurgery #2 of the Republican Clinical Hospital. For a long time, she was in intensive care under close supervision. When the woman regained consciousness, she didn't know where she was. Her reaction was very slow, and her head was constantly splitting, and she was losing consciousness.
The surgical operation was performed 2 weeks later by Alexey Sergeevich Byvaltsev, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery #2, and Renat Bekbulatov, assistant surgeon. The physicians collected the broken bones, fixed them, and placed plates. At the same time, the surgical operation was performed masterfully, not a single stich was left on the woman's face.
For another two weeks, the woman was recovering, did not get up and did not move. Her daughter took care of her. When all the edema is gone, her face looked good, and her head stopped splitting, she was discharged home.
