39 transplantations were performed by physicians of Republican Clinical Hospital in 2020 despite the pandemic

Specialists of the Republican Clinical Hospital performed 39 transplants to patients in 2020 despite difficult conditions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"It is noteworthy that despite the huge flow of patients with Covid-19 who need comprehensive care, our planned and emergency care operate every day. And assistance for patients who need liver or kidney transplants has never stopped. In the context of the pandemic, we continue to perform transplants", explained the Deputy Chief Physician of the Republican Clinical Hospital, Marcel Minnullin.

Liver transplants have been performed in the Republican Clinical Hospital since 2018, and kidneys - since 2015.
