Tatarstan received new mobile mammographs
Two new mobile mammographs have been delivered to the Republican Сlinical Oncology department. The mobility of mammography complexes increases the opportunities for maximum proximity of screening examinations to women's place of residence, especially in areas where there are no mammographs of their own. It makes it easier to conduct examinations at large organizations without taking employees away from production.
Both complexes on wheels are equipped with modern digital mammographs with flat-panel detectors that allow to get high-quality x-rays of the mammary glands.
The digital format allows to detect breast pathology at the early, preclinical stages and create an archive of mammographic images of healthy women for dynamic observation during repeated rounds of examinations.
Early diagnosis is the primary tool for cancer prevention. It is by mammography that doctors diagnose the presence of breast cancer. According to scientists' observations, the department's press service reminded that cancer detected at an early stage is curable in 90-95% of cases.
We remind that the Federal "Fight Against Cancer" project is being implemented in Tatarstan as part of the national "Healthcare" project.
