"Children's health is the care of parents" – this topic was discussed by specialists of the Children’s City Hospital and Perinatal Center of Nizhnekamsk Natalia Shishkina and Veronika Filipova with first-year students of the Nizhnekamsk Chemical Technological Institute.

Psychoactive substances are any substances of natural or artificial origin that affect the central nervous system and lead to changes in mental state. Some psychoactive substances are used in medicine to treat mental illnesses. But psychoactive substances always have a harmful effect on a healthy person. The most common psychoactive substances are nicotine, alcohol and drugs. All of them are extremely DANGEROUS for reproductive health.

Alcohol and nicotine are also psychoactive substances that negatively affect reproductive health. They destroy the hereditary material of germ cells, which leads to serious consequences for descendants — mental retardation, diseases of internal organs, absence of immunity, etc.

In preventive work, it is always inspiring that students understand the importance of healthy lifestyle and offer a lot of options-alternatives to harmful habits during the discussion of the topic.
