A 48-year-old engineer from Italy who fell ill with a new coronavirus infection was treated at the Republican Clinical Hospital of Tatarstan.

The Italian was admitted to the Republican Clinical Hospital a week after he arrived in Tatarstan's capital, where he had been invited for a temporary job. In the treatment process, the man transferred to the intensive care unit - his lungs were fifty percent affected.

The foreigner was discharged on December 9 after making a full recovery.

"Thank you very much to the doctors! I'm glad I got over the disease in Russia. I'm not sure that in Italy, I would have been saved and treated as I was here," the man admitted.
