A temporary infectious hospital was deployed in the Nizhnekamsk maternity hospital. Now expectant mothers with acute respiratory viral infection or confirmed covid-19 give birth not in Naberezhnye Chelny, but in their hometown. Since December 5, 11 women have become mothers in the red zone, two of them had a confirmed coronavirus infection, and the rest women had acute respiratory viral infection. Now the women and their babies are discharged home, there is no threat to their health. Also, 33 pregnant Nizhnekamsk women are on outpatient treatment with signs of acute respiratory viral infection, another woman with confirmed COVID-19 is receiving treatment in an infectious hospital.
Doctors remind pregnant women of Nizhnekamsk, why it is important to seek medical treatment at the first signs of acute respiratory viral infection. "Many people are afraid that the medicines will harm the baby," explained Rita Medvedeva, deputy head of the Health Directorate. - But because of this, the duration of treatment only increases – toxins accumulate and circulate in the body of the expectant mother, the woman's condition worsens and therefore more serious medicines are prescribed. We insist that women have to call a doctor during the first days of the disease.
