Marat Sadykov presented the book “Healthcare of Tatarstan: the path of 100 years”
A new book "Healthcare of Tatarstan: the path of 100 years", which is dedicated to the anniversary of the Republican health care. This was stated by the Head of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Sadykov at the presentation of the publication.
This publication is a tribute to those people who carried on their shoulders the heavy burden of responsibility for the life and health of our countrymen, played a significant role in the development of healthcare in Tatarstan.
The book tells about the formation of medicine in the Republic since the times of Volga Bulgaria and the Kazan Khanate, presents the main stages of development, achievements of the industry in different historical periods: zemstvo medicine of the Kazan province, health care of Soviet Tatarstan and the Republic of Tatarstan. The gallery of People's Commissars of Health of the Tatar ASSR and Ministers of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was formed on the basis of archival data, was presented.
The health care infrastructure of Tatarstan is described in detail: from the Republican medical organizations of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk to the central district hospitals. Information about the main departmental and non-governmental medical organizations is provided. The components of the educational cluster in healthcare of the Republic of Tatarstan: the organization of higher and secondary medical education, advanced training and professional retraining, are displayed in detail. The stages of evolution of Kazan scientific medical schools, the contribution of outstanding medical scientists to the state and world medicine are shown.
The history of the pharmaceutical service of Tatarstan and the drug supply management system of the republic's population is highlighted. Information about the main manufacturers of medicines and medical devices is provided. The system of medical insurance of the Republic of Tatarstan is presented. Information about organizations that exercise control and supervision in the field of ensuring the population’s sanitary and epidemiological well-being ensurance in the health care field of the region is given. The information in regards of main health resorts of Tatarstan was presented as well. Trade union and public life, including running of the republican "Doctor of the Year – Ak Chechekler" contest and sports competitions, are covered in detail.
