I. Metshin visited the new Outpatient Traumatology Center on Mavlyutova Street

The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin got acquainted with the work of the new Outpatient Traumatology Center at the Central City Clinical Hospital #18 on Mavlyutova Street, 2.

Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan – Head of the Health Directorate of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan of Kazan Vladimir Zhavoronkov, Head of the Administration of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts Andrey Lobov and others also took part in the tour. 

The medical facility, where residents of the Vakhitovsky, Privolzhsky and Sovetsky districts of the city can apply 24 hours a day, was opened to patients since the end of last year, replacing the old trauma center, which was located on the Adel Kutuya Street, 48.

The center is fitted with the latest equipment, and the capacity reaches 150 visits per day, including emergency and planned care.

"The Outpatient Traumatology Center has a wider functionality than the usual traumatology. We have the opportunity to perform arthroscopy, ultrasound of the joints, and use a modern X-ray diagnostic system. The results of the images are transmitted via the internal network to the computer in the doctor's office. In general, there is a huge difference between the new center and the old traumatology, new technologies. Not only the patients are happy with the changes, but also the employees who worked on the Adel Kutuya Street during 20-30 years," said Rinat Zalaldinov, the chief physician of the Central City Clinical Hospital #18.

According to Rinat Zalaldinov, 17 people work in the emergency room, including traumatologists, radiologists, X-ray laboratory technicians, nurses and other personnel. Now the specialists of the center are trained in ultrasound diagnostics of joints, which is relevant at the present time.

"Developing the infrastructure of medical institutions in the city and improving the quality of its work is an important task that we have been solving for several years, and we have already achieved a lot along the way."

"Of course, it's a spaceship. My mother worked in the field of health care, in the Central District Hospital. And this is a huge difference in what equipment the doctors had at that time and what is now, - said Ilsur Metshin. - Thank you for your work. It is very important for the residents. Developing the infrastructure of medical institutions in the city and improving the quality of their work is an important task that we have been solving for several years, and we have already achieved a lot on this path."
