Relatives of residents of the Republic of Tatarstan who have had a heart attack, stroke, atherosclerosis of the arteries of the brain or lower limb are invited to genetic test. If your family has a man under 55 years old or a woman under 60 years old who has had one of the above diseases, then you need to exclude familial hypercholesterolemia.
"This medical examination is conducted free of charge under a unique program that is not available anywhere else in Russia. Its main goal is to reduce mortality from diseases of the blood circulatory system. Familial hypercholesterolemia is a prerequisite for the development of serious diseases — such as heart attack, stroke and others," said Dinara Sadykova, Head of the Center for Lipidology of Children’s Republican Clinical Hospital, Head of the Department of Pediatrics of Kazan State Medical University, Professor, and Doctor of Medical Sciences.
You can pass genetic test until June 2021 in the Centers of Lipidology.
