10 February 2021, Wednesday

In the Nizhnekamsk Blood Center, the Andrey. Let Tomorrow Be” donor campaign was held, it was timed to coincide with the World Cancer Day. The main goal of the campaign is to procure blood for palliative patients who need such support.

The organizer of the action was a resident of Kazan Alla Protas. Her husband, Andrey, was one of the palliative patients who needed blood donations and had been living off them for the past few months. He died in January of 2018, and in February, the first donation campaign was organized in memory of Andrey and all those who were helped by donors to live longer and better.

In Nizhnekamsk, the campaign was organized with the support of the Department of Health, the Blood Center, the Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention and the community of cancer patients "Bez Berge" (“We Are Together”), which now consists of about 300 people.

"We thank all the donors who came today to donate blood, and in general all those who periodically do it, "added the head of "Bez Berge " Elena Musaeva.

Today, 30 residents of Nizhnekamsk took part in the action. They gave a total of 15.5 liters of blood. Recall that the Nizhnekamsk Blood Center serves three more districts: the Novosheshminsk, Zainsk and Chistopol districts, and sometimes it is necessary to help out the capital.
