An extended medical council was held in the City Polyclinic #21

In the City Polyclinic #21, an expanded medical council was held, where the year 2020 work results were summed up and goals for 2021 were outlined.

The meeting was attended by medical staff, administration, and invited guests:

* Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan - Head of the Health Department for the city of Kazan Vladimir Vladimirovich Zhavoronkov;

• Director of KSMA Rustem Shamilyevich Khasanov;

* Vice-Rector of KSMU for Regional Health Alexey Vladimirovich Shulaev;

• Director of the Kazan Nursing College Zuhra Anasovna  Khisamutdinova;

* Deputy Head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts Administration Olga Alexandrovna Drozdetskaya.

The main report on the institution's activities' results was made by the chief physician Rustem Faizovich Gaifullin. The co-speakers were Chief Physician Asssitant for Economic Affairs Adel Maratovna Tsibel and an epidemiologist Irina Bulycheva.

The main challenge for health professionals in 2020 was a new coronavirus infection. In order to preserve the life and health of the population throughout 2020, the staff of the institution fought hard against the spread of COVID-19 and provided the necessary assistance to the sick.

Despite the quarantine measures, the work within the framework of the National Healthcare Project did not stop. Even in the most difficult months of 2020, the Center for Outpatient Cancer Care carried out clarifying diagnostics for suspected malignant neoplasms, dispensary monitoring of patients after cancer treatment, and antitumor therapy for malignant neoplasms.

Despite the personnel shortage caused by temporary disability due to the incidence of COVID-19 and the transition of specialists to  COVID hospitals, the employees' heroic work made it possible to implement the allocated plan almost in full.

  The main tasks for 2021 were identified as:

* Reduction of mortality, including from malignant neoplasms and diseases of the circulatory system

* Implementation of the federal National Healthcare Project

* Providing timely and high-quality medical care to patients with a new coronavirus infection, conducting mass vaccination

After hearing the main report of the chief medical officer and co-speakers, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan - Head of Healthcare Department of the city of Kazan, Vladimir Zhavoronkov gave a positive assessment of the institution's work in 2020. He expressed his deep gratitude to all the staff for their hard work in a challenging 2020 and wished fruitful work and goals achievement in 2021.

The medical council ended with a solemn ceremony of awarding the staff of the institution.
