⠀The President visited the Nizhnekamsk Multifunctional Hospital as part of a working visit. The head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, Aidar Metshin, spoke in detail about the plans for the construction of a new facility. Later, during a meeting on the social and economic development of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that the construction of the admission and diagnostic department is an important step: "This year, the construction of the facility must be started and completed within two years."

The President noted that to accomplish this task, it is necessary to unite all forces – federal and regional programs, industrial enterprises.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov visited the medical building #3, built in 1984, where the first stage of major repairs was carried out last year. Nizhnekamsk entered the program for the renovation of in-patient facilities of hospital complexes. The city received more than 300 million rubles for the renovation of hospitals in 2020.

In the surgical building there are admission and diagnostic, anesthesiology and resuscitation, gynecological, surgical and operating departments. During the first stage, the main operating department was equipped with a complex of "clean rooms" that reduce the risk of nosocomial infection and postoperative complications, and increase the effectiveness of treatment of patients with severe health conditions.

For the second stage of the overhaul, which will be carried out this year, 136 million rubles have been allocated from the republican budget.
