The mayor of Nizhnekamsk Aidar Metshin was vaccinated against a coronavirus infection

16 March 2021, Tuesday

The mayor of Nizhnekamsk Aidar Metshin was vaccinated against a coronavirus infection. He received the first component of the vaccine on Saturday in polyclinic #2 of the Nizhnekamsk CRMH.

First of all, the mayor looked at how the vaccination center works on a weekend. He visited the therapist's office, where the doctor examines and interviews the patient before vaccination, and then went to the vaccination office. There he talked with the procedure nurse Elena Valeeva and asked how the medical documentation is filled in, how many Nizhnekamsk residents come for vaccination every day, and the maximum number of patients who can be vaccinated in the polyclinic per day.

And before the vaccination, as expected, the mayor filled out a questionnaire, answered the doctor's questions, his blood pressure was measured, the level of oxygen in the blood, and only after the examination, the head received permission to vaccinate.

"Studies have shown that our Russian vaccine is effective and is not accompanied by complications," A. Metshin later shared in an interview. "We are very attentive to this issue, and thanks to our medical staff, primarily the therapeutic link, we analyze and monitor the condition of patients. We talked to both doctors and patients, who told us that after the vaccination, the residents of Nizhnekamsk did not have any complications. The situation with coronavirus infection in our area is stable, but I want to remind you that only collective immunity can protect us from infection."

At the moment, there are 102 patients in the Infectious Diseases Hospital. The number of hospitalized residents of Nizhnekamsk is decreasing, but citizens should be careful.

"We know that the number of cases is growing in Europe, and this should alert us. I am sure that Nizhnekamsk residents who do not have contraindications will join the vaccination. We have a wonderful medical staff, and together with our citizens we can cope with the pandemic – only vaccination will protect us from the coronavirus," the mayor concluded.

One can make an appointment for vaccination from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays in polyclinics at the place of attachment.
