Nizhnekamsk residents were reminded of the importance of checkup

16 March 2021, Tuesday

Tatyana Rakhimova, Acting Deputy Chief Physician of the Nizhnekamsk CDMH for Polyclinic Work, reminded about the importance of checkup today during business Monday.

Last year, due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the provision of planned medical care was suspended and not all Nizhnekamsk residents were able to undergo checkups and preventive medical examinations. Accordingly, the number of detected diseases decreased. This year, more than 66,000 residents of the city and district are subject to medical examinations.

All patients at any age undergo fluorography, which helps to detect tuberculosis and malignant neoplasms.

Also, all those who come to checkup, give blood to determine the level of glucose and cholesterol, which helps to identify a predisposition to diseases of the circulatory system and diabetes.

This year, the second stage of checkup has introduced an innovation – if there is a suspicion of a skin cancer, the patient is sent to a dermatologist for consultation with a dermatoscopy.
