Artists of the Galiaskar Kamal Tatar Academic Theater Azgar Shakirov, Nailya Garayeva and Maryam Yusupova were vaccinated with the first component of Sputnik V in the Gorki polyclinic of the Central Kazan Clinical Hospital #18.
"I don't want to get coronavirus. I came by my own beliefs. I believe and hope that everything will be fine," Maryam Yusupova told the correspondent of the Tatar-Inform news agency.
She is sure that the theater artist, as a person who often comes into contact with the public, should be immune to the coronavirus. Two of the artist's sons-in-law suffered from Covid-19, were in the hospital, and she does not want to repeat their fate.
"I wasn't sick. I meet people very often, I can infect people without knowing it, and people can infect me. In order not to infect people, I took a risk," said 82-year-old Azgar Shakirov.
His family faced Covid-19. The artist's nephew struggled with cancer, but contracted the coronavirus. Azgar Shakirov said that he, unfortunately, passed away.
The man trusts "Sputnik V" completely. He noted that it is necessary to take care of each other and get vaccinated, then the coronavirus will become like a regular seasonal flu.
80-year-old artist of the Galiaskar Kamal Tatar Academic Theater Nailya Garayeva said that she is happy to be vaccinated, as she really missed communication with people and even more — the theater.
Nailya Garayeva was in self-isolation until March, and even tried not to communicate with her closest friends, so as not to catch the coronavirus.
Her son and grandson were ill. The grandson had a complication on the gastrointestinal tract.
"I was tired of being constantly isolated, and I had a split mind: to do or not to do. My son said to me: "Mom, we need to do this." And the theater helped organize everything, and all the actors who wanted to come and do it," the actress said.
The epidemiologist of the hospital #18, Landysh Kagirova, said that more than 3,000 people were vaccinated in the polyclinic, and there were many applications from enterprises.
On April 9, the artists will receive a second vaccination.
Recall that on March 10, some artists and technical staff of the Galiaskar Kamal Tatar Academic Theater were vaccinated against coronavirus, among those was 83-year-old actor Rinat Tazetdinov.
