In Tatarstan, almost 19% fewer patients with tuberculosis were diagnosed in a year. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the rate of fluorography —the most effective test for tuberculosis has decreased.

In Tatarstan, 913 residents were diagnosed with tuberculosis in 2020, which is 18.8% lower than in the year before last. This was stated at a press conference in the news agency "Tatar Inform.
