Chief Pediatric Neurologist of the Volga Federal District: there are 2 thousand children with epilepsy in Tatarstan

There are two thousand children with epilepsy in Tatarstan, as was stated at a press conference in the Tatar-Inform News Agency by Elena Morozova, chief freelance pediatric neurologist of the Volga Federal District, chief pediatric epileptologist of the Kazan Health Department.

"There are 925 children with epilepsy in Kazan, and two thousand children with this disease in Tatarstan,"  the speaker said.

Doctors said that there are a lot of myths around epilepsy, including that the disease is incurable. Elena Morozova stressed that 70% of the correct treatment leads to remission.
