Builders resumed repair work on March 15. The medical building area, which includes three floors, is 6 000 sq. m.
According to Rishat Nugmanov, the chief physician of the NCIH, the new building will create comfortable conditions for patients of all ages: "There will be two infectious diseases departments and a laboratory, the area of which we are increasing by one third. It will be 1,100 sq. m." The laboratory is being completely re-equipped, and capacity is being increased in all directions. The branches will be equipped with pneumomail, as in the already renovated block B. The delivery of the tests to the laboratory will be accelerated as much as possible. On the 3rd floor there will be a department for patients with HIV infection with palliative beds for 10 people.
"Despite the pandemic, we have not only increased the construction time, but are also trying to reduce it. Of course, not to the detriment of the quality of the repair. Everything we dreamed of will be realized in this building," R. Nugmanov stressed.
The wards will be equipped with individual bathrooms, air conditioning, call buttons for medical staff, and televisions. The wards will also be equipped with an oxygen supply system, the chief physician notes.
"Each ward will be equipped with everything necessary to make the patient feel comfortable, like at home," he said.
The infectious diseases hospital itself is working in the old buildings during the renovation - nothing has changed for the doctors. They still continue to fight against viral pneumonia, coronavirus infection, and other infectious diseases.
