Specialists of leading clinics performed a unique diagnostic of a teenager with intracerebral hematoma
At the end of January, the teenager complained to his parents about throbbing pains, debility and numbness of the tongue. During the MRI, the specialists of the Medical and Sanitary part of the Kazan Federal University found signs of intracerebral hematoma in the parietal lobe. After consultation with the doctors of the Neurosurgical Department of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital, it was decided to transfer and hospitalize the patient to the republican clinic.
After the stage-by-stage treatment by neurosurgeons, a consultation was held with Mikhail Volodyukhin, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the X-ray Surgery Department of the Interregional Clinical and Diagnostic Center, and Aidar Khamidullin, Head of the X-ray Surgery Department. During the board of doctors, the specialists decided to perform cerebral angiography with possible embolization of arteriovenous malformation (AVM).
Currently, the teenager has been discharged home. In the future, he will be monitored by a neurologist at the place of residence. The patient should observe a restriction of physical activity.
