The Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan noted that together Russia and China will be able to defeat the pandemic. China has donated 810 protective suits, 480 pairs of safety glasses and 960 medical respirators to the Naberezhnye Chelny infectious diseases hospital as a sign of support and solidarity in the fight against the pandemic.
"After the coronavirus outbreak, China and Russia are supporting each other, cooperating in this fight against coronavirus, and we are overcoming difficulties together," said Wu Yingqin, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan.
He noted that Tatarstan has made a great progress in the fight against the pandemic, because among the regions of Russia in the republic there are a relatively small number of cases. According to Wu Yingqin, together we can defeat the coronavirus pandemic.
"Now, although the pandemic is gradually receding, but we still have many challenges that are dangerous. In connection with the coronavirus, medical workers play a very important role in the prevention and treatment of coronavirus, they risk their lives, save the lives of many people," he said.
Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Farida Yarkayeva thanked the Consulate for the assistance provided.
"Despite the fact that we, in the Republic of Tatarstan, since the first days of the pandemic, have established the production of masks, respirators, and protective suits at several enterprises, and today we do not feel this shortage, we have everything in sufficient quantity. Nevertheless, this act of goodwill is a sign of our neighborly, long-standing relations between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China, and in particular, good relations in the Republic of Tatarstan, including in the field of medicine," the Deputy Minister noted.
Chief physician of Naberezhnye Chelny infectious diseases hospital Rishat Nugmanova noted that every day the number of patients is decreasing. Now there are less than a hundred people, the clinic employs 349 workers.
"We never refuse from help. It's all timely, it's necessary. The protection of medical personnel is a top priority, so we are very pleased that we have received such assistance." the chief physician said.
