New technologies in ophthalmology were discussed in Kazan

The Republican scientific-practical conference "New Technologies In Ophthalmology – 2021" was held in Kazan. The event was held online on the basis of the Republican Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan named after Professor E. V. Adamyuk.

Despite this format, the conference was large-scale. The number of participants registered on the site was 1,857. The conference was attended by ophthalmologists, eye surgeons, pediatric ophthalmologists, optometrists, nurses of the specialty "ophthalmology", researchers of the Departments of Ophthalmology of higher educational institutions, young scientists.

The conference discussed the results of scientific research, new approaches in the treatment and diagnostics of eye diseases, treatment of patients. Also unique clinical cases and reports of leading ophthalmologists were presented.

The versatile program of the conference gave the participants a unique opportunity not only to proclaim new methods and technologies, but also to share their experience in microsurgery in ophthalmology.

The key topics of the reports were the diagnostics and treatment of glaucoma, issues of managing the activities of a medical organization, a modern view of retinal pathology, topical issues of pediatric ophthalmology, modern aspects of the activities of nurses in ophthalmology, surgical methods of treatment in ophthalmology, achievements of young scientists in modern ophthalmology, general issues in ophthalmology.

The speakers' speeches were held simultaneously in several halls. The variety of topics presented could impress the most sophisticated guest of the conference. A number of presentations were devoted to the discussion of the peculiarities of performing surgical operations in non-standard situations.

At the section of health care organizers, issues of legal aspects in the provision of medical care, issues of continuing medical education, and registration of medical documentation were considered.
