Today, as part of the European Immunization Week, a campaign in support of vaccination was held in the Children's Polyclinic of the Kama Children's Medical Center in Naberezhnye Chelny. On this day, every child who was vaccinated could choose a gift in the vaccination office. The event, which has already become a tradition, is organized to attract attention and raise public awareness of the importance of immunization. The initiator of the campaign was the Inter-municipal Office of Immunologic Prophylaxis under the Kama Children's Medical Center.
European Immunization Week takes place from April 29 to May 2. During this time, special emphasis is placed on vaccinating children. Experts emphasize that the younger generation should and can be vaccinated without fear for the quality of the vaccine.
Today, our country has a National calendar of preventive vaccinations, which includes vaccinations against 12 infections: viral hepatitis B, tuberculosis, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, rubella, epidemic parotitis, poliomyelitis, influenza, haemophilus and pneumococcal infections. Vaccines against viral hepatitis B and tuberculosis are given to newborns in the maternity hospital. It is worth noting the undeniable benefits of vaccination – the prevention, limit of the spread and elimination of infectious diseases.
