Events were held in Kazan on the eve of the World AIDS Memorial Day

17 May 2021, Monday

According to the decision of the World Health Organization, the World AIDS Memorial Day is held every third Sunday in May. The symbol of the memorable date is a red ribbon. For the first time in history, this day was celebrated back in 1983 in San Francisco (USA). The organizers of the campaign in memory of those who passed away due to AIDS were people who were personally affected by the problem of HIV/AIDS.

The World AIDS Memorial Day is designed to draw public attention to the problem of HIV/AIDS, raise awareness, honor the memory of those who passed away due to AIDS, and support those living with HIV.
