Congratulations of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Sadykov on the Day of the Pharmaceutical Worker

19 May 2021, Wednesday

Dear employees and veterans of the pharmaceutical sector of the Republic of Tatarstan!

I cordially congratulate you on your professional holiday – the Day of the Pharmaceutical Worker!

Today, this date is celebrated for the first time, but it has its roots in the distant past. It was on May 19, 1581, by the decree of Ivan IV the Terrible that the first pharmacy appeared in our country, which prepared and sold medicines.

Today, 5,002 specialists provide pharmaceutical services in Tatarstan, and 1,681 pharmacy institutions operate. They are also involved in the process of providing residents with medicines, equipping medical organizations with medicines, and the successful recovery of our patients.

In the era of the pandemic, the work, knowledge and skills of pharmacists have proved indispensable in the fight against coronavirus infection. And now we are faced with the task of continuing to vaccinate the population to prevent the risks of increasing morbidity.

Dear colleagues! I sincerely thank you for your loyalty to your profession. I wish you further fruitful work, success in the implementation of new projects, health and well-being!
