III Inter-regional scientifically-practical conference of Privolzhsky federal district «Pressing questions of infectious pathology» will take place on Kazan on December, 4th, 2018. Significant feature of this conference is the participation of interested experts from all regions of Privolzhsky federal district.

Chief infectious diseases specialist of the Russian Health Ministry E. Malinnikova has visited Professor Agafonov Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital (RCIDH) as part of the working trip.

Orthopaedic traumatologists of orthopaedics department № 2 of Republican Clinical Hospital of Health Ministry of Tatarstan Republic performed surgery to reconstruct the damaged cartilaginous block surface of the femur with mini-prosthesis Recartic in cooperation with the company Implantcast (Germany).

A lecture on the prevention of HIV infection and AIDS was read by the epidemiologist Vera Nurmukhametova in University of the third age. "Many HIV-positive people believe that they are healthy. The disease can be found only in 3 months, during this time a person can infect several sexual partners," she said. The specialist reminded about three ways of infection – sexual, through blood and from mother to child.

Emergency paramedics of Kazan went to save people 8424 times during the week. 1062 emergency calls were registered in public places. Paramedics went on accidents 889 times, including road traffic accidents.  53 people were injured, 29 people were taken to hospitals. 6629 emergency calls were registered for various diseases, including acute myocardial infarction (68 cases) and acute cerebral circulation disorders (179 cases).

Almetyevsk hosted the inter-municipal interdisciplinary seminar "Issues of clinical neurology". Training was organized for General practitioners, neurologists, therapists, and rehabilitation physicians of Almetyevsky, Aznakaevsky, Bavlinsky, Bugulminsky, Leninogorsky, Cheremshansky and Urussky Regional Hospitals, as well as Medical Station of OAO "Tatneft" and Almetyevsk.
