Cardiac surgeons carried out delicate, jewelry work. The doctors carefully removed the tumor from the patient's heart, and then used a special cryoprobe. It is a tool for freezing living tissues. Surgeons applied low temperatures (up to -70 °C) to the affected area at the sites of excision of the tumor. This was done in order to prevent further tumor growth. After removal, the material was sent for histology. The tumor turned out to be benign.
Doctors completely removed the stomach using a robotic system. This is the first such operation in the republic.
