Friendship match "Patients and doctors – together" was held in Kazan
Last Saturday, a friendly mini-football match "Patients and doctors together" was held at the Central Stadium of Kazan, organized by the NGO "TRANSPLANT SPORT" with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan.
This tournament is special. It was timed to coincide with two significant anniversaries in Tatarstan medicine.:
The 35th anniversary of the first kidney transplant in the region.
The 60th anniversary of the first dialysis.
It also became a vivid continuation of the celebration of World Football Day (December 10)!
4 strong teams entered the field:
A combined team of transplant patients, doctors of the RCH and the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The team of the pharmaceutical company Izvarino Pharma.
"Such matches are much more than just a game. They clearly demonstrate the enormous successes of Russian transplantation, destroy stereotypes about organ donation and the possibilities of patients who have received a second chance at life. For patients, the very opportunity to return to the field and play football is a vivid component of their new life.
