According to the decision of the World Health Organization, the World AIDS Memorial Day is held every third Sunday in May. The symbol of the memorable date is a red ribbon. For the first time in history, this day was celebrated back in 1983 in San Francisco (USA). The organizers of the campaign in memory of those who passed away due to AIDS were people who were personally affected by the problem of HIV/AIDS.

It is difficult to imagine our health care without a nurse. This is one of the most humane professions of our time, because a person's life and health are the main values for everyone. They perform all the doctor's tasks, their caring word plays a significant role in the process of recovery of the patient. According to statistics, about 80% of all patient care falls on the shoulders of nurses. On May 12, the birthday of the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale, nurses around the world celebrate their professional holiday – the International Nurses Day.
