Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan told reporters about providing medical institutions of the republic with qualified personnel
5,314 medical workers came to work in healthcare institutions of Tatarstan in 2021 (including 1,858 doctors).
Presidential support programs are in place to attract specialists. According to the grant program of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, 1,198 grants were provided from 2014 to 2021 (125 grants were provided in 2021).
According to the "Zemsky Doctor" program, 104 medical workers were employed this year. Since 2012, 868 doctors and secondary health workers have been involved in this program. The "Zemsky Doctor" program is a part of the regional project "Provision of Medical Organizations of the Healthcare System with Qualified Personnel" of the national project "Healthcare".
In addition, medical specialists are provided with a "Social Mortgage" according to the target ratio of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2021, 135 apartments were provided.
Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ildar Fatikhov, also noted that 17,161 medical employees worked with coronavirus patients in temporary infectious diseases hospitals. 883 ambulance drivers and 1,318 students were involved in working with coronavirus patients. In Tatarstan, during the years of the pandemic, 25% of retired doctors returned to work.
