The department of positron emission tomography of SAHI RCOD of MoH of the RT is equipped with modern equipment:
Cyclotron GE PET Trace
PET /CT scanners GE Discovery 600 and Discovery 690.
PET is the most modern diagnostic technique using radioisotopes, which allows diagnostics to be at the modern global level. Positron emission tomography started to be used in oncology, cardiology and neurology.
The use of PET in diagnostics of oncologic pathologies allows precisely diagnostics, determining the most effective tactics of treatment and monitoring treatment.
PET/CT scanners, by which our Department is equipped, represent a composite system of positron emission tomography and x-ray computer tomography. PET registers the metabolic activity of cells, practically at the very initial stage of an appearance of pathological process; x-ray computer tomography allows building anatomical map of the organism, which allows precisely localizing the pathological process and defining its characteristics.
Highly qualified staff of the PET department specializes in a wide spectrum of diagnostic methods: nuclear medicine, radiology, x-ray computer tomography, magnetic resonance tomography. Conclusion according to the carried out research may be issued in paper form and on the electronic media.
We are always glad to provide you our assistance.

THE PROCEDURE OF REGISTRATION FOR RESEARCH
Registration for the research is conducted remotely (over the phone) and directly at the reception of the PET department.
When you register on the phone, you should inform the receptionist of the purpose of the research, the exact height and weight of the patient, contact phone number for communication. The receptionist of the PET department will inform of the date and the time of the research. At the appointed time, the patient should arrive in the PET department for the research.
Patients should contact the staff of the PET department the day before the research to confirm it.
If the patient does not have the opportunity to come in the appointed time, it is necessary to call the reception and alert the staff not later than the day before the research.
Questions about the registration, procedure of research of PET/CT contact the reception by phone:
