Flowers of her life

The Deputy head of the Executive Committee of AMR, head of the Department of health AMR MoH of the RT Ravil Khairullin, chief physician of the district hospital Gulsina Shamseeva, head of Management of social protection of the population Zakiryan Shakiryanov, representatives of city Council of veterans, journalists of city mass media arrived in a small but cozy apartment in Shevchenko street directly opposite Almetevsk Central district hospital with the honorable mission. In a solemn atmosphere birthday woman Olga Smolkina took the guests of honor and personal congratulations of the President of the Russian Federation, a memorial address on behalf of the Head of AMR Mazit Salikhov.

She was born in Tikhonovka of Almetyevsk district, was the eldest of six brothers and sisters in big friendly family of a peasant. Eight years of studying and only two years of study at the medical college of Bugulma was meted out to her a terrible word «war». Her life universities in the role of surgical nurses without right for mistake took place from June 25, 1941 to August 1945 in Kazan hospital. She assisted a famous professor Nikolai Medvedev. She considers him to be her teacher.

After the war she married. Before 1960 she worked in ACDH in the surgical department together with legendary Zifa Balakina, then - in infectious procedural as a nurse. After completing the courses she was a laboratory assistan in a diagnostic laboratory, where worked very seriously until the retirement. She has a huge number of labour and government awards.

Learned all the sorrows of the war years, nowadays she is happy, surrounded by children. She has got three children, six grandchildren and three great-grandsons. They still consult with their mother and grandmother. In her 90 she keenly interests with news from the «Russian newspaper», recounting it to their daughters, she has an excellent memory, supports communication with dear neighbors and relatives from Samara.

And also with her girls she plants flowers below the apartment. From early spring forget-me-nots, then irises, peonies, lilies, chrysanthemum, marigold, night beauty and rich bride bloom on her flowerbeds. For her and all others joy. Are flowers of her life a secret of longevity?!
