The Kama Children's Medical Center of Naberezhnye Chelny is introducing new options for epidural anesthesia in parturition and methods of postoperative analgesia.
For these purposes, M. D. the Head of the Department of anesthesiology and reanimation of the City PC #1 at the “The Research Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductology named after D. O. Ott” Oksana Ryazanova was invited to Kamsky Children's Medical Center (KCMC).
Oksana Ryazanova conducted a series of workshops for doctors, such as "Safe regional analgesia. Anesthesia in obstetrics", “TAP block”, “QL block”.
А modern device that allows to deliver an anesthetic to a woman by installed epidural catheter and elastomeric pump. During childbirth, if the patient needs anesthesia, woman presses a button and the device provides additional doses of a small amount of anesthetic.
The use of a TAP- block (transverse abdominal space blockade) and a QL block (quadratic abdominal muscle blockade) exclude the introduction of narcotic analgesics.
Today in Tatarstan the TAP- block technique is used by few people, including Deputy Chief Doctor of the Department of anesthesiology and intensive care of KCMC Ilnur Ahmetov.
