Vladimir Putin opened a new Perinatal Center in Kazan by videoconferencing

The grand opening ceremony of the new Perinatal Center at the City Clinical Hospital # 7 named after M.N.Sadykov took place in Kazan. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening via videoconferencing.

It is planned to provide assistance to pregnant women, women in labor and pregnant of the high-risk group in Kazan and nearby districts of the Republic of Tatarstan on the basis of the Perinatal Center.

Capacity is 120 beds, 80 of which are postpartum beds, 22 beds in the neonatal pathology department, 18 beds for medical rehabilitation of newborns, including 10 beds of Intensive Care Unit).

The Perinatal Center provides:

- Reception and Diagnostic Department with CT, MRT, X-Ray rooms;

- Consulting and Diagnostic Department;

- 7 labor wards;

-  Adult and Children Resuscitation Unit;

- Postnatal wards;

- Neonatal Pathology Unit;

- Department of Medical Rehabilitation of Newborns.

Vladimir Putin noted the low level of child mortality in Tatarstan.

The President congratulated the staff of the Perinatal Center on the opening and wished all best.
