Chief narcologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Rezeda Khayeva explained why people start using drugs

Drug addiction is a serious disease with a violation of the biological, psychological and social sides of the personality. Chief narcologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Rezeda Khayeva pointed the main causes of its occurrence, they are the following:

• Troubles, misunderstandings in the family;

• Curiosity;

• Search for new sensations;

• Example of friends;

• Protest against the circumstances;

• Desire to assert oneself in the society and to seem more mature;

• Availability of drug purchases.

The doctor explained that these factors together and individually give the possibility of drug addiction.
