Two-day Research and Practice Conference dedicated to the treatment of heart defects has started in Kazan
Today, a two-day Research and Practice Conference "X-ray endovascular surgery in the treatment of congenital and acquired heart defects" has been opened in Kazan.
Bagrat Alekyan, Сhief Visiting Specialist of the Russian Ministry of Health on X-ray Endovascular Diagnostics and Treatment, Chairman of the Russian Scientific Society of Specialists in X-ray Endovascular Diagnostics and Treatment, Deputy General Director of National Research Medical Center of Surgery named after A.V.Vishnevsky, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences: "Our conference is devoted to a very important section – the treatment of children with congenital heart defects and older people with severe cardiovascular diseases. For two days we will discuss technologies related to the treatment of such patients."
Almir Abashev, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan: "Our priority is technological leadership in healthcare. Thus, we were one of the first to introduce technologies of X-ray endovascular interventions in children. Hundreds of children in Tatarstan receive such care at the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital every year. We treat effectively and achieve good results."
According to the results of the conference, which will be held in a hybrid format, the best reports will be published in the journal “Endovascular Surgery”.
