September 17 has been declared World Patient Safety Day

In 2025, it was decided to dedicate World Patient Safety Day to the issue of ensuring safe medical care for every newborn and every child, with a special focus on children under the age of nine.

The motto chosen this year, "Patient safety from the very beginning!", is intended to emphasize the urgent need for timely and systematic actions to prevent harm in childhood and form the basis for good health throughout life.
