World day of AIDS prevention will take place on December, 1st

World Day of AIDS prevention takes place every year on December, 1st. For 30 years AIDS has taken more than 25 million lives, more than 60 million persons have been infected by HIV, 16 million children have lost their parents. This virus catches more than seven thousand persons every day.

The purpose of World day of AIDS prevention is the rising of global knowledge about HIV and AIDS and also the demonstration of the international solidarity in AIDS prevention. This day the medical institutions have the possibility to spread the information about pandemic status and to promote the progress in preventive maintenance and treatment of AIDS.

Within the limits of the events dedicated to World Day of AIDS prevention in 2013, Tatarstan republic organizes mass actions, open lessons, video lectures on preventive maintenance of HIV-infection, lectures on propagation of healthy lifestyle.

 The students of the educational institutions of Kazan can pass HIV-infection’s tests and receive consultation from special doctors’ teams.

On November, 29th, 2013 at 10.00 in conference hall of Republican agency of mass media “Tatmedia”will take place the conference with participation of representatives of Health Ministry of Tatarstan Republic, Control Federal Agency in the sphere of protection of the rights of customers and well-being of the person in Tatarstan Republic, SAHI «RCPP of AIDS And ID of HM of ТR» and the noncommercial public organizations working in sphere of AIDS prevention.

World experience shows that only true information, accessible to everyone can restrain the epidemic development and improve life quality of HIV-positive people.
