Rustam Minnikhanov spoke about the results of the work of the medical community of the Republic of Tatarstan in a Message to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan
The Republic is consistently developing an affordable and high-quality healthcare system. Since 2020, Tatarstan has significantly updated the industry's infrastructure: more than 300 new medical facilities have been built – hospitals, polyclinics, 586 medical institutions have been overhauled, for which 50 billion rubles have been allocated, and over 40,000 units of modern equipment have been purchased. This is an unprecedented investment in the health of the republic's residents.
Special attention is paid to preventive measures. Over the past 5 years, the number of people examined has increased almost 5 times and amounted to 1.5 million people last year.
Over 300,000 working citizens were able to check their health on the job as part of the "Industrial Medical Examination". Thanks to the work of five mobile Polyclinic complexes, residents of remote rural settlements received 300,000 consultations from specialists from high-tech medical care centers.
We see positive results in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and oncological diseases - in 5 years we have managed to reduce mortality from diseases of the circulatory system by 15% and increase the detection of oncological diseases in the early stages, in the provision of high–tech medical care – 160 thousand residents of Tatarstan have received it over the past 5 years, as well as in the development of transplantology – completed more than 800 organ transplant operations.
