100-year-old scout of the Red Army was cured by oncologists of the Naberezhnye Chelny oncological dispensary

Doctors of the radiological department of the Naberezhnye Chelny Clinical Cancer Dispensary successfully treated 100-year-old veteran of the Great Patriotic War Mukhtasima. The patient was admitted with squamous cell carcinoma of the skin localized on the auricle and occiput.

According to the head of the radiology department, Rishat Kutdusov, the disease is quite aggressive, but no metastases were found in the veteran.

"We have chosen gentle X-ray therapy, which allows us to accurately affect the tumor and not damage healthy tissues. For a patient of this age, this is the safest option," the doctor noted.

"Dad doesn't like hospitals," says Alfiya Mukhtasimovna, the veteran's daughter. She and her son, Alexei, spent a long time trying to persuade him to see a doctor. Before losing his sight, he regularly walked five to seven kilometers a day.
