Event dedicated to the Day of Struggle against Diabetes will be held in Kazan
Diabetes Day is aimed at raising awareness about this disease, which is incurable but manageable, about modern diagnostic methods, about children and adults who struggle with type 1 diabetes on a daily basis.
Svetlana Zakharova, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan and other departments will address adults and children with diabetes and their families.
Doctors and public figures will speak in the educational part of the program. The doctor of the Republican Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital will talk about modern methods of treating eye diseases caused by complications of diabetes, and an entertainment program will be organized for the little heroes with diabetes: animators, magicians, master classes.
World Diabetes Day is celebrated on November 14th.
