Opening of the children's intensive care unit of the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital took place today
The Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital named after Professor A.F. Agafonov provides round-the-clock specialized care to adults and children with infectious diseases in Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan, including young children. According to the approved routing, all severe children with infectious diseases, moderate forms of infectious pathology among newborns and children under the age of 6 months are sent to this hospital.
Previously, the hospitalization of small patients was carried out in the departments located in the old building of the clinic built in 2006. It was decided to reconstruct the children's intensive care unit to bring it in line with modern requirements for children's hospitals. On June 1 of this year, construction and repair work began on the reconstruction of the children's department of anesthesiology and intensive care, as a result of which the bed capacity was increased to 9 beds on an area of 826.2 square meters.m., the department was retrofitted with modern medical equipment and furniture, additional technical rooms were allocated.
